The maximum number of devotees on a single day was on 26th November, when 84000 devotees had Darshan of Lord Sri Ayyappan.

Since the temple corridors of Lord Sri Ayyappan at Sabarimalai in Kerala State were opened, except on 17th November, over 50000 devotees had Darshan of Lord Sri Ayyappan every other day!

From 17th November until 30th November, 8,74K=Lakhs devotees had Darshan of Lord Sri Ayyappan.

Dewaswom Bord officials informed that out of the above devotees, a majority were from other states including Tamil Nadu.

Since the raging coronavirus pandemic existed over the last 2 years, child ren devotees were NOT permitted over the last 2 years!

However, with the restrictions relaxed this year, the number of children visiting Sabarimalai has increased considerably. Girl children under 10 years of age were many!

A wristband containing the personal data of the names of the parents, cell phone numbers, etc., is tied on the wrists of the children!

As the devotees are permitted through ONLINE booking, the system of standing in queues for long hours is avoided. However, if the number of devotees exceeds 75000, it is necessary to stand in queues for some time!

In the coming days, 20000 devotees have already booked ONLINE! However, as slots are still available for booking, this number is likely to increase further!
