Revised Motor Vehicle Act: Penalty for drunken driving for the driver and the pillion rider too!

The Revised Motor vehicle as per the latest by Tamil Nadia State Government is effective from today (Wednesday, 26th October).
A penalty for drunken driving for the driver as well as the pillion rider!
Traffic Police are taking the necessary action as per the revised Act.
The Motor Vehicles ACT was revised last time by the Central Government in 2019 and now, after a gap of 3 years, the State Government of Tamil has revised it with effect from today Wednesday, 26th October!
As such, the Chennai Traffic Police Department has confirmed that penalties are being collected as per the revised rates.
As per the revised Act:
A penalty for drunken driving for the driver as well as the pillion rider!
