The Revised Motor Vehicles Act has become effective in Tamil Nadu from today - Wednesday, 26th October.
Penalty for driving without wearing a helmet - Rs. 1000/-!
The traffic police are taking stringent action according to the revised Motor Vehicles Act.
Following the last revision made by the Central Government in 2019, Tamil Nadu revised the Motor Vehicles Act and released the revised version on 19th October. As such, with effect from today, penalties are charged as per this.
The Traffic Police have also announced the revised penalties to the citizens.
