An announcement has been released to fill up 3115 posts of industrial trainees. Southern Central Railway has released an advertisement for trainees to be trained in various trades including Electricians, fitters, welders, wiremen, and painters.
It has been mentioned that candidates from any state being Indian Citizens may apply!
Academic Qualifications:
Candidates MUST have passed the 10th Standard with at least 50% marks. They MUST also have Trade Certificates in the various trades mentioned above from NCVT or SCTV. NOTE THAT IN THE POSTS REGARDING WELDERS (GAS AND ELECTRIC), SHEET METAL WORKERS, LINEMEN, WIREMEN, CARPENTERS, AND PAINTERS IN GENERAL TRADES NEED TO HAVE PASSED ONLY UP TO 8TH STANDARD!
Selection Procedure:
A selection list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the 8th or 10th Standard and the marks obtained in the Industrial Training Institute in various trades mentioned above. NOTE THAT THERE WOULD BE NO ORAL OR WRITTEN TESTS!
Age limit:
Applying candidates must be over 15 years of age and 24 years of age. A quota for the backward classes will be given as per the Central Government Rules and Regulations. Candidates belonging to Ancient Tribes and other Backward Communities will be given up to 5 years of age concession!
