Traffic diversions in Chennai on August 8,10 and 13

Some traffic diversions are being made by Chennai City police on August 8, 10 and 13 in view of rehearsals for Independence Day celebrations at Fort St George.The changes will be in effect from 6.30am till the end of the rehearsals on the three days.
A stretch of Kamarajar Salai, from Napier Bridge up to RBI Subway North on Rajaji Salai and Flag Staff Road will be closed to vehicles. Motorists on Kamarajar Salai heading to Parry’s Corner via Rajaji Salai will have to get there via Swami Sivananda Salai, Anna Salai, Muthusamy Bridge, Muthusamy Road, R A Mandram and NFS Road.
Motorists on Rajaji Salai who are heading to Kamarajar Salai will be redirected to their destination via NFS Road, R A Mandram, Muthusamy Road, Muthusamy Bridge, Anna Salai and Wallajah Road.
Motorists on Anna Salai will have to go to Parry’s Corner or Kamarajar Salai via Muthusamy Bridge, Muthusamy Road, R A Mandram and NFS Road to get to Parry’s Corner, Wallajah Road and Kamarajar Salai.
