CM hikes allowance for pensioners kin

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa Wednesday increased the financial aid given to the kin during the death of a pensioner from Rs 35,000 to Rs 50,000.Jayalalithaa last year increased the amount from Rs 25,000 to Rs 35,000. `Now she has ordered to further increase it to Rs 50,000.
The government led by Jayalalithaa has been taking various steps to protest the interests of government employees and pensioners because government staff play a crucial role in taking the schemes and initiatives of the government to the people of the State.
