Alert: Prospects for heavy rain in 18 districts!!

The Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre has informed us that there a retrospect`s for heavy rain in 18 districts in Tamil Nadu for 2 days from today (Wednesday, 5th October)!
Due to the depression zone prevailing in the upper layers of the atmosphere over the central-west Bay of Bengal, there are prospects for mild to medium rain today (Wednesday, 5th October) and tomorrow (Thursday, 6th October) in 1 or 2 places in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikkal.
As regards Chennai Metro City, it will remain cloudy! There are prospects for mild rain in a few places in the city.
On the 7th & 8th of October, there are prospects for mild to medium rain in 1 or 2 places in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikkal.
The Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre has informed us that there are prospects for heavy rain with lightning and thunder in 1 or 2 places in Cuddalore, Villupuram, Kallakkurichi, Thiruvannamalai, Vellore, Thirupathur, Ranippettai, Thanjavur, Thiruvallur, Nagappattinam, Mayiladuthurai, Ariyalur, Perambalur, Trichy, Pudhukkottai, Pudhuchery and Karaikkal.
As regards the maximum rainfall recorded in the last 24 hours in cm: Aanaippalayam, Coimbatore – 2 Vedasandhur, Chittore, Kangeyam – 1.
Warning for fishermen:
High-speed wind at 50 kmph is likely to blow across the Kanyakumari Ocean, Mannar Bay, and the southwest Bay of Bengal parts adjacent to South Sri Lanka, fishermen are WARNED NOT to venture into the sea today (Wednesday, 5th October) and tomorrow (Thursday, 6th October).
