Chennai Traffic police announces restrictions on Vadapalani Junction

100 feet Road is one of the heaviest roads from traffic point of view. In order to improve traffic, following changes will be made from 23.07.2022 for 10 days trail basis.
The center median at Vinayakapuram Junction, Periyar Pathai Junction and Nerkundram Pathai Junction will be closed and the attenuate traffic arrangements will be made though the following U turn.
Already existing `U` turns
1. `U` turn at SAF Games Village junction.
2. `U` turn under Vadapalani Bridge.
Newly created `U` turns
1. `U` turn between Pillar No. 110 and 111 near Arumbakkam Metro Railway Station.
2. `V` turn between Pillar No. 126 and 127 between Periyar Pathai and Nerkundram Pathai.
- Vehicles coming from Vadapalani towards Koyambedu intended to take `Right` turn at Nerkundram Pathai junction will go straight and take `U` turn newly formed at a distance of 170 meters between pillar no. 126 and 127 and reach Nerkundram Pathai.
- Vehicles coming from Vadapalani towards Koyambedu intended to take a `Right` turn at Periyar Pathai junction will further travel a distance of 238 meters and take `U` turn at the newly created `U` turn near Arumbakkam Metro Railway Station between Pillar No. 110 and 111 and reach Periyar Pathai
- Vehicles intended to take right turn at Vinayagapuram junction will take `U` turn at SAF Game Village at a distance of 496 meters and reach Vinayagapuram junction.
- Vehicles coming from Koyambedu towards Vadapalani will take `U` turn between pillar no 110 and 111 near Arumbakkam Metro Railway station at a distance of 243 meters beyond Vinayagapuram Junction to reach their destination.
- Due to the median closure at Periyar Pathai junction, vehicles coming from Periyar Pathai will take left turn and vehicles coming from Koyambedu will take `U` turn between Pillar No. 126 and 127 which is 240 meters between Periyar Pathai and Nerkundram Pathai and reach their destination.
- Vehicles coming from Nerkundram Pathai and Koyambedu will take V` turn under Vadapalani Bridge at 199 meters away from NerkundramPathai.
- Vehicles coming from Nerkundram Pathai will also take left turn and take the `U` turn under the Vadapalani Bridge.
