The online registration for various engineering courses in TN has now gained momentum.
On 20th June 2022, the online registrations for the engineering courses in TN began and on the first day 18763 students enrolled themselves. This grabbed many eyeballs.
The superb piece of news is that now within a week the enrolment of the aspiring students to various engineering courses has reached almost 70000. Still more than 20 days are left for the online registration for engineering courses to end. It is now revealed that the engineering enrolment would cross 1.2lakhs this year.
Mr. Purushothaman, additional director of higher education department expressed his thoughts about the online registration for the engineering courses. He spoke about how on the second day on Tuesday as many as 35162 students got registered. On Wednesday, third day, the online registrations went up to 48955 till evening 6pm. It is worthy to mention that on Thursday as many as 59509 applicants had registered and on Friday till 6pm in the evening the numbers went up to 69720. Out of total registrations, just 33429 applicants have paid their fees till now.
As many as 13314 students who have paid the payment for registration have uploaded their certificates. Just like the last year, even in this year too TNEA 2022 is a totally online process including registrations, payments, choice filling, allotment and confirmation etc. The authorities have been involved in the collection of exact details of the students who have studied in the government run schools. These students would be eligible for 7.5percent horizontal reservation.
It is known that the last day for the online registration would be 19th of July 2022 and after 3 days a random number would be given to the candidates. On 20th July, the certificate verification process would begin and it would be till 32st July 2022.
