Disability is not a barrier for them to prove their sporting talent, but their dream to improve upon their achievements and corner more glory is facing financial odds.
District Collector Jayashree Muralidharan inaugurated the athletic meet for the physically disabled people at Anna Sports Stadium at Trichy on Thursday. She while speaking on this occasion said, These kinds of competitions are held in order to bring out the talents of these physically disabled people. Physically disabled people will have give and take policy. Apart from this, there will be a vent for their depressions if they participate in these contests. Five types of game are held. They are Shuttle cock, table tennis, volleyball, throw ball and kabadi.
About 100 students from 12 schools participated in this event.
