Chennai Koyambedu: Tomatoes sold at Rs. 90/- per kg!

Today (Monday, 23rd May), tomatoes are sold at Rs. 90/- per kg in the wholesale vegetable, fruits & flower market at Chennai Koyambedu!
Due to the substantial reduction in the number of tomatoes arriving from other districts/states and also because of the persistent rain, the price of tomatoes has been high and increasing for the 22nd day!!
Tomato is being sold at Rs. 79/- per kg in green-farm shops!
