The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has announced that fees for engineering courses are up!

Further, AICTE has announced that the salaries of the lecturers/Assistant Professors/Professors who teach the engineering course students are also being revised upwards!

As such, the fees for the courses – B. E., B. Tech., & B. Arch. – are up in all the institutes offering engineering courses throughout India

In a notification released by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) in this regard, it is mentioned:

“The semester fees for the B. E., B. Tech., and B. Arch. Courses have been fixed at a minimum of Rs. 79600/-. The maximum fee will be Rs. 189800/-!

Similarly, for the engineering diploma courses, the minimum fee has been fixed at Rs. 67900/-! The maximum fee is fixed at Rs. 140900/-!!

The semester fees for M. E. or M. Tech. Courses are fixed at a minimum of Rs. 1421200/- and the maximum at Rs. 300400/-!!

For the 3-year course of MCA, the minimum fee is fixed at Rs. 88500/- and the maximum at Rs. 194100/-!

For the 2-year MBA course, the minimum fee is fixed at Rs. 85000/- and the maximum is fixed at Rs. 195200/-!

For Assistant Professors, the monthly salary has been fixed at Rs. 137189/-! For the professors, the monthly salary is fixed at Rs. 260379/-!”

ACTE has further ordered that the salary should not be reduced citing reasons for low admission and all-out efforts MUST be made to improve the standard/quality of education!

This sudden increase in the fees for the engineering courses has created extreme anxiety among the parents as well as the students!!
