24 hour police booth in Korattur

Residents of Srinivasapuram, TVS Nagar, Subbalakshmi Nagar and Sivagami Nagar and other areas in Korattur have succeeded in getting a police booth at the Annainagar Junction. The residents had petitioned for it after complaints of chain snatching in the area.
�The junction is an important point and there were instances of chain-snatching in the area with a marriage hall in the vicinity�, said the Inspector of Korattur Police Station Venkatesh Kumar. �The need for police visibility was felt so the residents approached us and we were more than happy to help�, he said
