Current update in Chennai City Traffic situation in view of North East Monsoon Rainfall,
1. Name of the Subways closed due to Water logging:-
i) EVR Salai/Gangu reddy subway
ii) Duraisamy subway
iii) Madley Subway
iv) Vyasarpadi Subway
v) Ganeshapuram Subway
vi) Villivakkam Subway( Closed for light vehicles and Two
wheelers)
2. Traffic diversion due to Water Logging:-
i) On EVR Salai vehicles coming from Central towards Nair Point are diverted at the junction of EVR Salai x Gandhi Irwin Point towards Egmore (CMDA).
ii) At Pantheon Roundabout vehicles are not allowed towards RR stadium (Marshall Road), they are diverted towards pantheon road, vehicles are allowed on Marshall road towards Pantheon Roundabout.
iii) Raja Mannar Salai in KK Nagar Limit, vehicles are not allowed towards Raja Mannar Salai to take the route via PT Rajan Salai, IInd Avenue
Some of the other roads in Chennai City also have issue of water logging and are facing slow moving of Traffic. Public are hereby advised to venture out accordingly.
