Fancy numbers to be e-auctioned by BSNL

Those of who are living in Chennai can get their BSNL telephone numbers of their choice. BSNL Chennai Telephones is launching an e-auction of vanity landline numbers. These numbers have been categorized into three vanity levels with different base prices. The customers can bid these numbers through BSNL`s website, www.eauction.bsnl.co.in. The auction will start on July 12 and continue till July 19.
The bidding customer has to provide his existing landline number and register for a number by paying a non-refundable amount of Rs 100 after which the bidding amount has to be submitted.
The vanity number would be provided to the highest bidder upon submission of address, identity proof and other documents.
