Due to the then raging prevailing coronavirus pandemic, the schools and colleges remained closed since last year!

The teaching classes and examinations continued to be conducted ONLINE!

Just6as the discussions started regarding conducting the public examinations, the more intensive 2nd wave of corona commenced and raged throughout the country!

As it was extremely challenging, even the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education conducted by the central government) Public Examinations were cancelled.

Subsequently, the students of the 10th & 12th Standards were assessed as per their performances in their previous Examinations and were given marks and the results of the Public Examinations were thus announced.

As the intensity of the prevailing coronavirus pandemic has reduced appreciably during the present period, the schools and colleges have been reopened.

All the State and Central governments have decided to skip the traditionally conducted quarterly and half-yearly examinations and to directly conduct the Public Examinations.

CBSE has decided to conduct the academic year as 2 semesters from this academic year. In the 1st semester examinations, multiple-choice questions (4 options) will be asked. These semester examinations are scheduled to be conducted during November-December!

The examinations will be for 90 minutes’ durations. They are to commence at 11.30 AM.

The timetable for this 1st Semester Examinations is set to be released today (Monday, 18th October)!

The students can access this timetable at the official website of CBSE: www.cbse.nic.in  OR www.cbseacademic.nic.in.

The 2nd Semester examinations are expected to be conducted during March-April.

A decision will be taken whether this 2nd Semester question papers will be in multiple-choice format or detailed questions format depending on the prevailing coronavirus pandemic situation at that time!
