Inflow in Mettur Dam has improved significantly

Since there is a good inflow to Mettur Dam, the water level has risen to 64 feet. Moreover people are banned from bathing in the Hogenakkal Falls because of the heavy inflow of water.
Since there is heavy rainfall in Cauvery catchment areas the water level at Mettur Dam has increased by four feet from 58.88 feet to 62.35 feet and the storage level from 23.85 thousand million cubic feet (tmcft) to 26.47 tmcft.
