The schools for classes 1 to 8 are set to resume from 1st of November onwards in the state of TN.
Parents could send their children to the schools without any fear. This was according to the school education minister, Mr. Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi. He took part in a meeting with all the chief education officers to discuss various options. He assured the parents that the TN government would take all the responsibility regarding the safety of the children in the schools. Parents have been requested to send their kids to the schools without any fear of Coronavirus infection.
It must be noted that in the elementary classes, the students need not sit in the class for hours together and they would not be forced to attend physical classes.
Many private schools have a large number of students from 1 to 12 and these schools would be asked to conduct classes on alternate days or on rotation basis to avoid overcrowding. The managements of the schools would have to follow SOPS without fail and separate SOPs would be issued soon. This was mentioned by a senior official belonging to the school education department.
He later revealed that suggestions were taken from the teachers, academicians and others regarding how to go about with the reopening of the schools. It is learnt that the chief education officers have been asked to get suggestions from block level officers too. Bridge courses would be given for the students belonging to the classes 1 to 8 also just similar to the senior class students.
