If you have thought that not being able to speak or hear anything could come in the way of achieving goals, then you are wrong!! When normal people find it challenging to crack the civic services examinations in their first attempt, a person with hearing and speech issues has cracked the exam now!!

A 27 year old Mr. D. Ranjith from Coimbatore has become the talk of the town now. This person has got hearing and speech issues. He has overcome those and has now got 750th rank in the civic services examination.  The lip reading (that is important for such differently able persons) was taught by his mother who has done BEd in special education. She was delighted that her son got 750th rank in the civic services exam in the first attempt.

Truth is that Mr. Ranjith who was topper in the differently able student category would now become IAS officer.

His mother expressed her thoughts and spoke about how she was worried about her son and how all the worries have disappeared now. It is learnt that Mr. Ranjith chose Tamil literature as an optional subject and wrote his exam in Tamil language. It was brought out by a trainer Mr, Sabarinathan that Ranjith sat in the first row and read the lips while attending the classes.
