Krishna River comes to rescue for Chennaites

Though there were heavy showers in the city in the recent days, the water reservoirs like Poondi did not get its proper share.
Poondi reservoir is one of the main supplies of water to Chennai living people. But the good news is that Krishna river has been discharged by our neighboring state Andhra Pradesh. The water which was discharged a week back from the Kandaleru reservoir of Andhra Pradesh reached Poondi reservoir yesterday.
Currently there is a flow of five cusecs of water and it would increase drastically in the coming days. The Metro Water officials are in a relief mood since this would be a great boon to them.
