E-district services across TN soon

E-District services that have been in operation in six districts, will now extend to others. The service aims at reducing manual delivery of services, and brings them to your doorstep. All services will be linked to the Aadhaar card. Once in operation, other services offered will include certificates for marriage assistance, revenue services, issuing family ratio card, addition and deletion of names in ration cards, employment registration, issuing marriage certificates, encumbrance certificates, scholarship, education and RTI services.
‘The e-district framework would be integrated with the state portal and service delivery gateway to facilitate e-form-based application filing by the citizens. The government is scouting for an IT firm which could play the role of a System Integrator (SI) for rolling out this scheme. This will not merely be an IT solution but an information infrastructure that will expand, and integrate the functional needs of the departments and the citizens’, said an official.
