Tamil Nadu State Government Minister for School Education Anbil Magesh has informed that a decision will be taken in 1 or 2 days regarding the reopening of schools on 1st September.
It has been planned to permit only 50% of the students in a day. Review and consolations are in progress on conducting classes for the students from 9th to 12th Standards.
Action will be taken on the private schools which have charged higher than the limits set by the Tamil Nadu State Government.
The Minister for School Education had already informed about review/discussions in progress for the reopening of schools for the students of the 9th to 12th Standards.
The Minister further i9nformed that activities have also, been initiated to upgrade the infrastructure facilities in schools with the recent increase in new admissions.
The Minister had also appealed to the private agencies to help develop the government high schools. He had appealed to the parents of the students to come forward to send their children to attend schools without any apprehensions.
The Minister also informed that Teachers� Recruitment Board (TRB) will announce the dates for the examinations once the corona pandemic is brought under total control.
With the recent spurt in corona infections, the schools are yet to be reopened. Decisions will be taken in the meeting regarding the guidelines to be followed by schools regarding the check/prevention of corona spread.
Another aspect to be discussed in the meeting is about reducing the syllabus by 30%.
