Today (Tuesday, 10th August) is the last date for applying to write NEET � National Entrance-cum-Eligibility Test � a pass in which is mandatory to pursue medical graduate courses MBBS and BDS.
Admissions to all public and private medical colleges throughout India country for pursuing medical graduate courses MBBS & BDS, and Siddha, Unani, Ayurvedic and Homeopathy and veterinary courses are made through NEETY.
NEET is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). In this situation, it had been announced earlier that NEET for the academic year 2021-22 would be conducted on 10th September.
Subsequently, the ONLINE application process has been progressing since 13th July. Meanwhile, the Central Health Ministry had informed that admission to courses such as B. Sc. (Honours - Nursing), etc., can also be based on NEET performance.
The last date for applying for NEET was announced as 6th August. Now, this last date for applying for NEET has been extended up to 10th August.
The fees for NEET has been decided as Rs. 800/- for students belonging to SC/St category, Rs. 1400/- for candidates belonging to Backward Classes, and Rs. 1500/- for the general cadre of open community.
Further, the time has been given from 11th August until 14th August for verifying the application and doing corrections if required.
