Direct physical classes for the students of universities and colleges in TN!!

Even as the online teaching sessions are set to start for the Higher Educational Institutions or HEIs in Tamil Nadu, the HEIs are planning to begin direct physical classes for the students.
It must not be forgotten that a few days back the TN government announced that it would be reopening the schools for the students belonging to the classes 9 to 12.
It was brought out by Mr. D. Karthikeyan, secretary, Higher Education that TN government had announced that all courses except for the first year could be conducted by online mode in Arts, Science, Polytechnic and Engineering colleges from Monday for the academic year 2021-2022.
He later spoke about how all the directors including technical education, collegiate education and the registrars of all the universities under the aegis of HED have been given instructions to ensure that all the government as well as government aided self financing Arts and Science colleges, Engineering and Polytechnic colleges follow the guidelines for online classes.
The Covid- 19 protocols must be followed without fail and the faculties must attend the colleges on all working days compulsorily. According to a senior officer belonging to the HED it was clear that all the colleges including private universities and related institutions have been instructed to make sure that the students get access to the online classes.
The reopening of classes for the colleges has been sought by the Anna University Teachers Association or AUTA. The reason for that was due to the fact that the students pursuing technical education must get practical or lab knowledge.
