Observe that the power consumption bill is higher? Complain at this number!

In the State of Tamil Nadu, the domestic power consumption is read once in 2 months and the power consumption bill is submitted to the consumer.
The bill amount calculation is made thus:
Consumption of the 1st 100 Units is free.
Further consumption is calculated based on ‘Telescopic Tariff’.
In this scenario, complaints have been received from some citizens that there is a modern fraud being committed in the collection of electricity bill payments!
In fact, a large number of complaints have been received by TANGEDCO (Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation) that the bills are 2-3 times the actual consumption!
As such, the state Minister for Electricity Senthil Balaji has announced that consumers can complain by calling the number 0409704097. He has further explained that after receipt of the complaint concerned TANGEDCO officials will visit the residence, carry out checking/inspection and will take up the corrective action if required.
