Habitual offenders – Stay away from the city

The Chennai police are now concentrating on habitual offenders of the city. As per their contemplation, they want such offenders to be stopped from entering the city. According to Section 51(A) of Chennai City Police Act 1888, the Commissioner of police will be empowered to take full rights in removing a person from entering the city.
The time period of this ban will be for maximum two years. When the state government agrees to it, there can be no other appeal unless there is any special case. This step is assured to safeguard the people from any harm done by such offenders.
