Cardifying banking system for customers

NPCI - the National payments corporation will henceforth be the infrastructure provider for the banking system of India. With this, all bank accountholders are freed to use ATMs free of cost. The mountainous service charge amounts paid towards foreign exchange to several multinational giants are now saved by the introduction of Rupay cards by NPCI.
In addition, as a sign of replacing the government subsidies, the direct cash transfer will also be taken care of with their technical support. In a recent interview with A P Hota, the TOI, NPCI MD and CEO, he said that they are taking several steps to “Cardify” the banking systems for customers, especially for the banks which have never used cards.
