Procedure to apply for Tamil Nadu E-Pass online.

With the resurgent coronavirus spreading quite rapidly throughout the country, especially in the last few weeks, most state governments including Tamil Nadu have extended the lockdown imposition with some more restrictions/regulations!

In Tamil Nadu, on a single day yesterday (Friday, 9th April), 5441 citizens have been affected! As regards the Chennai Metro City, 1752 citizens were confirmed with coronavirus infection yesterday!

IT HAS BEEN INTENSIVELY EMPHASISED ON THE NEED FOR THE PUBLIC TO WEAR FACE MASKS AND ADHERE TO SOCIAL DISTANCING!

The recent regulations announced by the State Government of Tamil Nadu will be effective from today (Saturday, 10th April).

        Devotees will be allowed inside religious Praying Centre/temples only up to 8.00 PM.

        No permission is given to organise/perform festivals!

        Standing passengers are NOT permitted in the local and outstation buses.

        E-Pass is mandatory for the visitors from other states and other countries.

With the above status, here is the procedure to apply for E-Pass online:

Visit the website: https://eregister.tnega.org/

The question of whether you are visitor forms other states in India or from other countries.

Click your choice Cell-phone number will be asked for Register it!

Subsequently, enter the details such as Name, age, place coming from, the place being visited, and reason for the visit.

Once you fill this in, E-Pass will be sent to your cell phone.

Note that E-Pass will be essential even for visiting tourist resorts such as Nilgiri, Kodaikanal, or Yercaud.
