All colleges reopen after 11 months!

After the rather long break of 11 months, all colleges which remained closed due to t the coronavirus pandemic, were reopened in the State of Tamil Nadu including the Chennai Metro City.
All colleges in the state remained closed due to the preventive measure against the spread the raging coronavirus pandemic. As an alternative measure, online classes were being conducted for college students. However, there are definite feedbacks that the extent/impact of the coronavirus is reducing and as such, the academic institutions incusing all the colleges have been reopening slowly.
As such, the colleges offering courses on Arts, Science, Engineering, Technology and polytechnics offering Diploma courses in Engineering have reopened today (Monday, 8th February).
The Department of Higher Education of the State Government of Tamil Nadu had already announced that classes will be conducted 6 days a week. The classes had already commenced for the final year students of all above courses n 7th December.
It may be noted that the schools had also reopened for the students of the 9th & 11th Standards. Again, it may be noted that the schools had already reopened for the 10th & 12th Standard students.
