Kindle Fire HD and Paperwhite now available in Chennai

Amazon India has launched the Kindle Fire HD and the Kindle Paperwhite in the Chennai markets. The devices, that run in the Android Operating System, will be priced between Rs. 10999 and Rs. 21999.
Amazon India said, ‘(We have) bolstered (the) India Kindle Store that was launched in August last year, alongside the original Kindle e-reader.’ Vice President of Amazon Kindle Dave Limp said, ‘Not only does Kindle Fire feature advanced hardware, it`s also a service. We hope our customers in India will agree that Kindle Fire HD is the best tablet for a great price.’
‘Indian customers are passionate about books and reading, and we`re very excited to make the best-selling e-readers in the world—Kindle and Kindle Paperwhite—available to our Amazon.in customers’, said Vice President and Country Manager of Amazon India Amit Agarwal.
