Water and sewage to be streamlined in Sholinganallur

Almost two years after Sholinganallur came under the umbrella of the Chennai Corporation, the Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewage Board (better known as Metro Water) has announced a project to streamline the area�s underground sewage and water supply. The Rs. 136.6 crore project will be taken up by VA Tech Wabag and is scheduled to finish by the end of 2015.
�While most newly-added areas have been facing a water shortage, we identified Sholinganallur for the project as it has seen a lot of development in the last few years. We hope this project will address
the problems of the residents�, said an official from Metro Water.
