From tonight, Chennai to get rains with thunderstorms again

The weathermen have predicted rains in Chennai from tonight!!
On Thursday, the intensity of the rains would be from heavy to very heavy in some localities. Currently, there is a brief lull in the Chennai city and it is said that the Chennaites must brace for some pre deepavali rains. The presence of elongated regions of low pressure or trough of low closer to the north TN coast would be triggering rains this time.
There would be rainfall for atleast a week of time with few days of moderate to heavy rains in some places of TN. This was as per some weather bloggers and private weather forecasters.
The Chennai city is likely to have thunderstorms with light to moderate rains with isolated heavy rains. The condition of the sky is likely to be cloudy in the next 2 days. Chennai would have a maximum temperature of around 30 degree Celsius and a minimum temperature around 23 degrees Celsius.
There would be very heavy rainfall on 12th November in some isolated places in Chennai, Tiruvallur, Chengapet, Kancheepuram, Villupuram, Cuddalore, Mayiladuthurai, Thanjavur, Thiruvaur and Nagapattinam districts etc. This was mentioned IMD. At this time of the monsoon, there would be always low pressure over the equatorial Indian Ocean.
Information gathered is that under the low pressure influence a trough in the easterlies or a trough of low closer to the northern coast brings moist easterlies from the sea. This converges closer to the coast leading to the rainfall. From 11th November, the rains could start in the coastal regions including Chennai.
Later after 2 or 3 days, the winds could penetrate into interior regions leading to rainfall. This was pointed out by Mr. N. Puviarasan, director of Area Cyclone Warning Centre.
On 12th November, there could be heavy rainfall in the Chennai city due to the trough and then followed by 2 days of lighter rains. This was as per the weather blogger Mr. Pradeep John. He explained that the interior districts in TN could also get rains as the rain intensity picks up on 15th and 16th November. Chennai could get rains till 18th or 19th November this time.
