Women teachers to exceed men teachers in schools

The Tamil Nadu School Education Department has passed an order stating that there will be only women teachers in girls� schools, men teachers in boys� schools and preference will be given to women in co-ed schools. The order is said to address the issue of sexual harassment.
D. Sabitha, School Education Secretary said, �Chief minister J. Jayalalithaa had already brought in stringent punishments against teaching and non-teaching staff who indulge in sexual harassment against women. Our school order is a sequel to it. We will implement the or�der in 150 government high and higher secondary schools which will get up�graded this year.�
