Train speeds to be increased says southern railways, speed trials conducted

Those who travel frequently from Chennai Egmore to Madurai would feel delighted to hear that the southern railways would be increasing the speeds of the Chennai Egmore- Madurai- Chennai Egmore sections from the present speed of 100kmph to 110 kmph.
Information gathered that the southern railways have been authorised by the Commissioner of Railway Safety or CRS after conducting inspection in the section.
It has been brought to light by the officials belonging to the southern railways that all the observations made by CRS during the inspection have been complied with after undertaking several construction works. Truth is several speed trails were also conducted.
