The Minister for School Education of the State Government of Tamil Nadu has categorically stated that the certificate after passing TET (Teachers� Eligibility Test) will not be valid after 7 years!
The State Minister for School Education K. A. Sengottaiyan made another categorical statement that once the certificate expires after a period of 7 years, the concerned teachers need to rewrite TET � Teachers� Eligibility Test.
He further stated that the teachers who wrote and passed TET and completed 7 years will not be given an extension to continue working as teachers. They definitely need to rewrite TET, pass and qualify again!
The Minster had come forward with the above categorical statements as the teachers had put up a demand that the teachers who passed TET in the year 2013 must be allowed to continue the full service period and the 2013 TET certificate must continue to be valid.
