IT Giant HCL offers aid to Chennai zoo, crocodile bank

One of the major high-fly performing companies in the International and Indian Information Technology (IT) Sector, Hindustan Computers Limited (HCL), has taken a decision to help Arignar Anna Zoological Park and Madras Crocodile Bank overcome the pandemic crisis.
Apart from providing feed and other supplies, the company will also take care of sanitisation and maintenance staff�s pay for six months.
As can be ascertained, the zoo facilities depend hugely on revenue from visitors!
However, with the prevailing lockdown imposition continuing for a long period in several phases right from March as a preventive measure against the spread of the raging coronavirus pandemic, the zoo authorities had to take the decision to appeal for external support.
Allwin Jesudasan, director of the crocodile bank. Zoological Park, shared: �We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to HCL�.
The director also praised HCL�s efforts while underlining the need for greater support for captive animals and birds.
