The issues of the class 12 students have been taken into consideration now by DoTE!!
Directorate of Technical Education or DoTE has now extended the deadline for uploading the original certificates by 4 days as many students are finding it difficult now. It is common knowledge that the original certificate uploading is a part of the engineering admission process.
It must be noted that Monday, 24th August was the last day for uploading as per the original schedule. The students and their parents have been busy uploading the mark sheets of classes 10 and 12, TC, passport size photograph, and signature as asked by DoTE.
Information is the certificates could be uploaded as images or PDF with file size ranging from 150kb to 1mb. Photo and signature should be uploaded only as an image of 20kb to 50 kb size. Truth is many students have scanned the files using their mobile phones but have found that the files were much bigger than the size specified.
A student seeking admission to computer science engineering spoke about how he had scanned his certificates using his mobile phone and how the file sizes were higher than 1 MB. As a result of this, he was unable to upload the documents. It was brought out by another student that he did not know how to use the computer to increase or decrease the file size.
For the purpose of scanning and uploading the certificates, many students were forced to go to the nearby computer center. As the shops were closed, it became difficult.
