Chennai to have rains for few more days

The rains would continue for a week in the Chennai city and the residents could expect the weather to be breezy and pleasant. This was according to the prediction by the Regional Meteorological Centre or RMC Chennai. On Sunday, several parts of Chennai received light to moderate rains are known.

Director of Regional Meteorological Department, Chennai, Mr. S. Balachandran, pointed out how rains are due to the interactions between easterly and westerly troughs in Tamil Nadu. He added that as the week goes on all areas of TN could get rains. Point is Nilgiris district and its surrounding places might receive isolated cases of heavy rainfall and other parts of TN might get light to moderate rains. He later brought out that the rains received in TN and Chennai were typical of the season.

It must be noted that Nungambakkam received 8,5mm rains and Meenambakkam received 17mm spots of rain. Nungambakkam reported the maximum temperature of 31 degrees Celsius and Meenbambakkam reported 30, 1 degrees Celsius. There were rains in many places like Nanganallur, Anna Nagar, Mylapore, Arumbakkam, Aoshk Nagar and T. Nagar, etc yesterday morning

It was mentioned by the meteorological department that the condition of the sky is likely to be cloudy and light rains are likely to occur in many places.
