Encumbrance certificate available online soon

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa announced a new scheme that would enable those interested to print out an encumbrance certificate from the internet. This would save home owner�s a harrowing trip or two to the sub registrar�s office. She also announced the introduction of advance booking for registering property with the sub registrar on the internet.
�There (is) a huge increase in the number of applications seeking encumbrance certificates and it had added to the burden of the employees of sub-registrar offices. Now the public know the status of the properties at any time and monitor illegal registration�, said Ms. Jayalalithaa.
