New tankers introduced by Metro Water

Chennai�s Metro Water has introduced 231 tankers with a capacity of 9000 litres and 104 tankers with a capacity of 6000 litres. The decision came in the wake of the increasing demand for drinking water during the sweltering summer.
The tankers provide water to slums, organizations and the expanded areas in the city. The new tankers can meet the demand of more than 1.5 million litres a day, said Managing Director of Metro Water Shanmugam.
