Cyclone likely in Chennai

Low pressure has formed over the southeast Bay of Bengal. The Chennai Meteorological Department has announced that there may be a cyclone in the next 24 hours.
Director of the Department Ramanan said that low pressure has formed over the past two days. It is not possible to predict which direction it is moving in right now. However, it looks like it may be moving in a north westerly direction and there is a high chance of rain in Chennai. Usually, storms are common in the months of April, May, October, November and December.
