Current Location Latitude/Longitude: Super cyclone AMPHAN centered at 0730 hrs IST of today, the 20th May 2020, as an extremely severe cyclonic storm over northwest Bay of Bengal near lat. 19.58N and long. 87.60E.

- 125 km nearly east-southeast of Paradip.
- 225 km south of Digha.
- 380 km southwest of Khepupara (Bangladesh)
Current Intensity near Center: 170-180 kmph gusting to 200 kmph.
Observations from the Coast Wind-Speed: Paradip-102, Chandbali-74, Bhubaneshwar-37, Balasore-61, Puri-41, and Gopalpur-4 kmph.
Rainfall: Paradip-208, Chandbali-67, Bhubaneshwar-46.5, Balasore-56.5, Puri-87.0 and Gopalpur-8.6 mm.

Forecast Movement, Intensity and Landfall: To move north-north eastwards and cross west Bengal-Bangladesh coast between Digha and Hatiya close to Sunderbans during the afternoon to the evening of today with a wind speed of 155-165 kmph gusting to 185 kmph.
Wind Forecast for Coastal Odisha: 100 to 110 gusting to 125 kmph along and off Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara and Bhadrak districts till afternoon and over Balasore district till evening.
