Certified guides to be available at temples

HR & CE (Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments) Minister M.S.M. Anandan announced that state certified guides will now be available to tourists who visit big temples in the State. These guides will give the history and other details to those who wish to avail their services.
Making the announcement in the Assembly, Mr. Anandan said, ‘A board on the temple premises will give details such as the names of guides, their phone numbers and their professional charges. In the first instance, the HR&CE department will certify guides in 16 temples across the state, including Tiruvannamalai , Madurai, Trichy Rockfort temple and six Murugan temples.’
