Schemes for micro, small and medium sectors

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa announced schemes under the Rule 110 at the Assembly on Tuesday. She said that the micro, small and medium business sectors are big contributors to the country’s economic growth. I am pleased to announce special packages for these sectors, she said.
Subsidies will now be given to industries that have an investment of Rs. 30 lakhs towards machinery and equipment. The Tamil Nadu Small Industries Development Corporation is looking at around 2000 acres to set up industrial estates for the sectors. Space will be given to micro, small and medium industries alongside big industries, allowing them to avail the same facilities.
