Candidates writing banking exams faced with difficulties

Posted on: 30/Apr/2013 4:13:12 PM
Candidates writing banking exams have been having trouble over and over again every year. This year is no exception. Those who wrote the State Bank of India Probationary Officer (PO) Recruitment Exam complained that the invigilators at the exam were not well trained and also that the exam did not begin on time.

They were also asked to fill in a form with their personal details – something that their application form already had. This ate into their exam time. ‘My hall ticket said the exam would begin at 8 a.m. but when I reached the centre there was no invigilator in my room. Only after twenty minutes did someone come in with the question papers’, said one candidate.

‘Confusion reigned mainly because the invigilators were not trained in the procedures… Until 8. 40 a.m., we were not given our coding sheets… It (filling the personal details form) took each of us more than twenty minutes to do that, and unfortunately, that time was part of the total test duration’, said another.
