Prospects for rain in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikkal in next 24 hours!

The Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre has informed that there are prospects for medium rain in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikkal in the next 24 hours.

With the monsoon rainy season, having concluded in the 1st week of last month in Tamil Nadu, a rather chilly winter season has been prevailing.  It is a strange combination climate of chilly nights and hot afternoons.

It had been quite hot weather in Kanyakumari district. Due to this, there was a sudden catch of fire in some sections of the Western Ghat Mountainous range!

Thus, even before the proper start of the summer season, ht weather is playing a violent role right now!

In this situation, it has been raining in a few parts of Tamil Nadu from the morning. At the same time, the Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre has informed prospects of rain.

In a notification regarding this, the Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre mentions:

There are prospects of mild to medium rain in 1 or 2 places in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikkal in the next 24 hours.

As regards Chennai, Chennai Metro City will remain partly cloudy. There are prospects for rain ina few parts of the city.

In Chennai Metro City and its suburbs, a maximum temperature of 32 degrees Celsius will be recorded and the minimum temperature recorded will be 23 Degrees Celsius.

In the last 24 hours, a maximum rainfall of 4 cm rain has been recorded at Sathankulam in Thoothukudi. Rainfall recorded in other places: Pamban, Ramanathapuram - 3 cm, Thoothukudi/Thirucehndur - 2 cm, Radhapurm, Tirunelveli district, Nanguneri, Srivaikundam in Thoothukudi district, Kanyakumari, Nagercoil, and Rameswaram - 1 cm.
