Compensation announced for victims of Coimbatore fire accident

In an official press release, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa announced compensations for those who died in the fire at Coimbatore and also for those who suffered injuries.
A fire raged through a commercial complex on Avinashi Road in Coimbatore on Thursday, killing four women Keerthana, Vijayalakshmi, Margaret Marie and Srilakshmi. Ms. Jayalalithaa has ordered a compensation of Rs. 1 lakh to each of the girl�s families. She also announced that those who were seriously injured would receive Rs. 25000 each and those with less serious injuries would receive Rs. 10000 each.
