Opposition from Sivaji Fans’ Clubs

The 1966 film ‘Saraswathi Sabadam’ starred Sivaji Ganesan, Padmini and Savitri. Sivaji Ganesan played a dual role as Narada and a poet named Vidyapathi. Famous songs from the movie were Agara Mudala Ezhuthellam, Deivam Iruppadu Enge, Kalviya Selvama Veerama and Thai Thantha Pichaiyile.
Now, a movie named ‘Saraswathi Sabadam’ is to be released starring Jai. But the film is facing opposition from K.V.P. Bhoominathan who is President of the Sivaji Fans Association and Chandrasekaran who heads the Sivaji Society. The producers Association, however, has said that the name of the film has been used after the necessary permissions.
The heads of the film’s production company Kalpathi Agoram, Kalpathi Ganesh and Kalpathi Suresh have sent a legal notice to Mr. Chandrasekaran.
