Suriya in Indian 2?

The 1996 film ‘Indian’ which starred Kamal Haasan, Manisha Koirala and Urmila Matoandkar was a super hit. The film, directed by Shankar, addressed the issue of bribes. An old Kamal goes around teaching those who take bribes a lesson.
Now, Shankar has proposed to take Indian 2 and has said that he will spare no cost. The story is in the process of being written. When in the previous film Kamal played a dual role, he will play just one in the upcoming one. Suriya is being approached to play the other hero. But the decision is pending till the elections of the Artistes’ Federation finishes.
Kamal will start work on Indian 2 after he finishes Viswaroopam 2 which is in its last stages of making.
