Meenakshi Sundareswarar Thirukalyanam today

Today temple city (Madurai) is celebrating the celestial wedding of Goddess Meenakshi and God Sundareswarar. There were 6 led screens were kept around the temple and on the Chithirai streets for the people to watch the Thirukalyanam.
Deputy Commissioner of Police R.Thirunavukarsu said that, we have extended the barricades around the temple so the devotees can come only in queue there will any deviation or congestion. Special places were arranged for "prasadam" in Chithirai and Avani Moola Streets. There were around 3,000 cops had been deployed for duty and watchtowers to ensure strict vigilence.
